About Me

I am a PhD student at the Cell Cycle Laboratory, Department of General Biology, School of Medicine, University of Patras, under the supervision of Dr. Zoi Lygerou.

My research focuses on understanding how DNA replication licensing and replication fork protection mechanisms work together to safeguard genome integrity. During my Master's thesis, I investigated the pharmacological targeting of cells with aberrant DNA replication licensing, aiming to identify novel synthetic lethal interactions.

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Patras in 2022 (1st of the year, grade: 9.41/10), followed by a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Department of Medicine in 2024 (grade: 9.55/10). My BSc thesis focused on the construction of a stably transfected HeLa cell line for the expression of Geminin protein fused with mCherry₂.

I have been awarded scholarships from the Bodossaki Foundation and the Onassis Foundation. I have also gained research experience as an intern at the BSRC Alexander Fleming, served as an External Evaluation & Accreditation Panel Member for the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education, and am a core team member of TEDx Patras.
